Privacy Policy

The short version: this page is a signpost, not a shop. There is no sign-up box here, no mailing list of its own, nothing to buy and no account to create. If you write to us, we keep your message so that we can answer it. The longer version is below, because the short version is not quite enough to be honest.

1. Who We Are

Winterwolf Worlds LLC is a Nevada limited liability company, and it is responsible for the information described in this policy. It was formerly named Winterwolf Enterprises LLC — the same company, the same people, a new name.

Winterwolf Worlds publishes Winterwolf Press, Little Dark Why’s, Momma Hazel, Write Your Books, the novels of Laura C. Cantu, and Mystical Mischief, which is still in development.

2. What This Policy Covers

This policy covers this site and the email addresses that end in winterwolfworlds.com. It does not replace the policy published on any of our brand sites.

If you signed up for something, bought something, joined a membership or claimed a numbered edition, that happened on a brand site — and the privacy policy published on that site governs it. Those policies say the same things this one does, in more detail, about the things that site actually does.

3. What We Collect Here

If you only look at this site

Nothing you typed, because there is nothing here to type into. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary technical and analytics records — browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, an approximate location worked out from an IP address. That tells us a page was visited. It does not build a profile of you and it is not used to advertise to you anywhere else.

If you write to us

• Your email address, the subject of your message, and whatever you chose to put in it.
• We use it to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.
• Writing to us does not subscribe you to anything. If you want to be on a list, you have to ask for it on the brand site that runs it.

What we never collect on this site

There is no sign-up form, no shop, no checkout, no account and no download on this site, so we collect no names, no postal addresses, no phone numbers and no payment details here. We never receive or store card numbers anywhere — that is handled by our payment processor, on the brand sites, and it does not pass through us.

4. Children

Our work is written for adults, and our sites are made for people aged 18 or older. There is nothing on this site to sign up for, so there is nothing for a child to submit. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

5. Service Providers

We use third-party services to run this site and to carry our mail. We checked this list against what this page actually loads, rather than copying a template:

• GoHighLevel / LeadConnector — hosts this site, serves its typefaces, and provides the built-in page analytics that come with the platform.
• Cloudflare — provides domain name service and security protection in front of our domains, which means traffic to them passes through Cloudflare. Its analytics count page views; they use no cookies and do not follow visitors to other websites.
• MXroute — hosts the mailboxes that receive mail sent to our addresses.
• Mailgun — delivers email sent from our domains.

These providers process information on our behalf and under our instructions. We do not control every feature of a third-party service, and their own terms and privacy policies may also apply.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising trackers. There is no Meta pixel, no Google Analytics and no advertising or social-media tracking pixel on this site. We may disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse of the site, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our providers use cookies, tags and logs for basic site functions, security and simple traffic counts. We do not use cookies or pixels for advertising, retargeting or cross-site profiling. Your browser settings may let you limit cookies, although parts of the site may then not work properly.

7. Email Choices

This site has no mailing list, so there is nothing here to unsubscribe from.

If you are on one of our brand lists, every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and using it takes you off that list straight away. Leaving a list never affects anything you already hold — an edition you claimed stays yours, and a membership you paid for stays yours.

We may still send you non-marketing messages when we need to: to answer you, to complete something you asked for, or to deal with a legal or security matter.

8. Security and Retention

We use reasonable measures designed to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep correspondence for as long as it is reasonably useful for answering you, meeting a legal obligation, resolving a dispute or enforcing an agreement, and then no longer.

9. Your Choices and Requests

You may write to us to:

• Ask what information we hold about you;
• Correct it if it is wrong;
• Ask us to delete it;
• Ask for a copy of it; or
• Stop receiving marketing email, immediately and without explaining why.

Send your request to [email protected]. If you know which of our brands it concerns, telling us saves time, but we will find it either way. We may need to verify your request, and we will respond within 30 days.

One limit, stated plainly rather than buried: where a brand issues individually numbered editions, the record that a number was issued is kept permanently, because a number that could quietly return to circulation would make the edition size a lie. If you ask us to delete your information, your name and address come out of that registry and off our lists; the number itself stays marked as issued and unassigned to anyone. That brand’s own privacy policy says the same thing in more detail.

We may retain certain information where permitted or required by law, for security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution or legitimate operational purposes.

10. Where We Operate, and Who We Serve

Everyone is welcome here. Wherever you live, you may read this site and our brand sites, and write to us.

We sell and ship in the United States only. Paid items, physical goods and memberships are available only to people located in the United States, and none of them are sold on this site. That is a limit on what we can sell you, not on whether you are welcome.

Your information is held in the United States. We operate from the State of Nevada, and information you send us is stored and processed in the United States by the providers listed in Section 5. If you are outside the United States, please understand that United States privacy law differs from the law where you live, and that by writing to us you are asking us to hold your message here.

We honor requests from everyone, everywhere. Whatever country or state you live in, you may make any of the requests in Section 9, and we will honor them on the same terms as we would for anyone else — without asking you to prove where you live and without requiring you to cite a particular law. We would rather simply do it than argue about whether we have to.

We do not profile you. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not use it for targeted advertising, and we do not track your behavior across other websites, as those terms are used in United States state privacy laws and elsewhere.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy by posting a revised version on this page and changing the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects what we do with information you have already given us, we will tell you by email. Continuing to use the site after an update means the revised policy applies going forward.
